Co-founder of MALU holistics since 2017 alongside Elena Mahí Pavlidou-Reisig, Garuda brings a rich tapestry of experience to his work. His journey began in social work, supporting diverse groups including the elderly, homeless, physically disabled adults, autistic children, and adults with learning disabilities—always with a focus on empowerment and social inclusion.
Garuda’s commitment to healing led him to train in massage, counselling, psychotherapy, and art therapy, before continuing his studies in Post-Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. He also nurtured a deep passion for music, producing and presenting a weekly show called Symmetry on Glasgow’s Radio Magnetic, celebrating alternative and experimental sounds.
In 2009, Garuda moved to Greece where he began teaching English and offering massage to locals and visitors. His path then led him to the Osho Afroz meditation centre, where he found community, met his partner Mahi, and deepened his work as a therapist and meditation guide.
Continuously exploring spirituality, meditation, neuroscience, psychology, and psychotherapy, Garuda’s special interests include Buddhism, trauma healing, somatics, neuroplasticity, interoception, neurodiversity, empathy, and living with intuition and sensitivity. Deeply moved by the climate crisis, he is passionate about fostering hope and positive change for the future of humanity and the Earth.
Garuda lives in Eresos with his partner, daughter, and three dogs, inviting you to join him on a healing journey rooted in heart-centered awareness and holistic well-being.
Elena Mahí Pavlidou-Reisig
Yoga teacher, Somatic Yoga Therapist, Mediation facilitator and Architect
Elena’s work is dialogue between body, breath, and awareness – a space where somatic therapy, trauma-informed yoga, and meditative movement meet. Holding space with tenderness, strength, and intuitive care, she invites others to return to the wisdom of their bodies and to rediscover the quiet joy of simply being.

With roots in classical ballet and modern dance, movement has been her language since childhood—a way of sensing, expressing, and healing. From the discipline of early training to the freedom of contemporary form, Elena discovered in movement a lifelong fascination with flow, alignment, and the deep intelligence of the body. Yoga found her in her twenties—a gentle yet powerful practice that offered her nervous system calm, resilience, and clarity amidst the fast-paced demands of life as an architect. It became a grounding force, centering her body and quieting her mind. In 2012, after her first full yoga teacher training, she felt the call to share this path with others professionally.
Over the years, her teaching has evolved toward a more therapeutic focus – trauma-informed, body-sensitive, and rooted in nervous system regulation. Her approach is especially supportive for those living with anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence, guiding them gently back into connection through interoception, breath, and embodied presence. Extensive training in anatomy allows Elena to navigate the body with clarity, precision, and detail – guiding students not only into safe alignment but also into deeper interoceptive awareness.
Elena is a certified yoga teacher (Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Hot Yoga), modern dance instructor (ISTD), and trained in OSHO Active Meditations, breathwork, anatomy (YACEP), Ayurveda, trauma (YACEP), chakra and energy work. She is also a Jikiden Reiki practitioner, a registered architect with the Berlin Chamber, and a doctoral researcher weaving together embodied knowledge and academic inquiry.
For nearly two decades, Elena has walked the path of yoga and movement with devotion. In 2017, she co-founded MALU Holistics with Matthew Garuda Hallam. Today, she teaches and facilitates workshops and retreats in Greece and Germany.
